The ten different schools of Ikebana active in Mito will fill the gallery with their flower arrangements, each demonstrating their unique approach to the art.

On one weekend during the Mito Art Festival, the various tea-ceremony schools currently active in Mito -- Omote-senke, Ura-senke, Edo-senke, and Mito-Sekishu-ryu -- will each present outdoor demonstrations in the ATM Plaza. In the event of rain, the site will be moved to the Bunka Fukushi Kaikan, opposite to the ATM Tower.


Sankyoku (Shamisen, Koto, and Shakuhachi) Concert / Mito Art Festival

Come and hear a mixed chorus made primarily of local elementary school students. Their fresh and bright voices will fill the concert hall.

Performances by local amateur dramatic troupes. A total of eight different groups are participating this year, one performing each day of the festival.

Although they have performed before elsewhere, this is the first time they have played at ATM Concert Hall.
