This work is based on the true story of three company presidents in 1998 who, after a "last supper" of Japanese sake and "gyudon" (meat strips on top of a bowl of rice), committed joint suicide in suburban Tokyo.
"Nemuri-gusa" is a moving work that looks at the upright but humorous lives of these three men.
