Songs of Reminiscence, Songs of the Future
-- Remembering the Works of Yoshinao Nakada --

"Medaka no Gakko (School of Killifish)" "Kani-san Omeme (Mr. Crab, Nice Eyes!)" "Ahiru no Gyoretsu (Parade of Ducks)" "Chiisai Aki Mitsuketa (I Found a Piece of Autumn)"
It used to be so fun to learn songs back when we were little children, when we could hardly pronounce the words we were just beginning to learn.

"Aozora no Komichi (Lane of the Blue Sky)" "Natsu no Omoide (Memories of Summer)" "Numu no Hana (Silk blossom)" "Yuki no Furu Machi o (Snowfall in Town)"
As we become adults, we wear many scars that are a sign of our experience. Those wounds can be partially healed by singing songs. And sometimes, when we sing when we are happy, that happiness transforms into supreme bliss, filling us with euphoria.

"Utsukushii Wakare no Asa (Beautiful Morning of Separation)" "Shoten (Ascent to Heaven)"
Songs occasionally force us to look hard at life. If we wish to express the feeling of the preciousness of life, stemming from its evanescence, songs often work better than simple words.

The soul of Yoshinao Nakada, a composer who loved songs and loved music, has flown off to heaven, one year having passed since he died. The songs he left us combine a deep-rooted gentleness with a high artistic sense, and have captivated the hearts of many.
ATM's concert, focusing on hs Nakada's choral works, honors his passing while demonstrating the charm of the genre of song.
